lothar spree film production, founded in Frankfurt Main Germany in 1975, is specialializing in the areas Documentary Film – Fictional Film – Image & Industrial Film - Digital Media – Media Art Standard of the company is and has been the actual contemporary high quality of technological development of cinematographical media. This standard followed the introduction of film, video and dicgital media, from cinema to television and further into the net and recent modern media. As long as film technology was a guarantee of production qualities, the company followed those requirements also for television and strove to maintain film aesthetics even throughout new and advanced hybrid and high technologies. Today, content and visual qualities are standard that still are rooted in cinema aesthetics but utilizes highest digital technics and methods. Aside from classical film productions of the last years, development of new formats and applications was launched within the company – interactive, multi-media, more-dimensional and space related presentations for exhibtions, trade shows, musems and art events, as well as CDROM, DVD and internet publicaitons became production items, always on the highest quality level. Bewtween 1975 and today, teh lothar spree film production produced more than 80 films and television productions for different public contractors – e.g. ZDF, ARTE, WDR, SFB, BR, DSR, ORF etc. and companies such as Deutsche Bank, FRAPORT, Nestlè, ALLIANZ, Dresdner Bank, etc.. The fact that Lothar Spree has been engaged in academic activities since 1992 as professor for Film und New Media contributes to the opportunities of research and experimentation in any form of professional projects. As (Co) Director of EIKK – European Film Institute Karlsruhe he effectively had advanced the German young film makers and media student in Germany, Europe and other countries. A new perspective has opened entirely new avenues through Lothar Spree’s long and involved engagement in China. The lothar spree film production is now specialized in consultation and production of projects between China / Asia and Germany are opened up.

Seit 1975 arbeitet die lothar spree film production in Frankfurt auf den Gebieten Dokumentarfilm - Spiefilm – Industrie- & Imagefilm - Digitale Medien - Medienkunst Standard des Unternehmens war von Anfang an die jeweils höchste cinematografische Qualität zu erreichen - auch für das Fernsehen und andere Medien. So wurde so lange wie möglich mit Filmtechnologie, gleichzeitig aber auch an deren Verbindung zu modernster Digitaltechnologie gearbeitet. Bei Beibehaltung traditioneller Filmästhetik wurden schon früh Mischformen von Film-, Video- und Digitaltechniken entwickelt. Neben der klassischen Filmherstellung ist in den letzten Jahren zunehmend die Entwicklung und Anwendung neuer, interaktiver Filmformate auf der Basis digitaler Medien getreten, die als Ausstellungs- und Museums-Multivisionsshows oder CD-ROM und DVD vertrieben werden. Von 1975 bis heute hat die lothar spree film production weit über 80 Filme und Fernsehproduktionen für unterschiedliche Auftraggebener - z.B. ZDF, ARTE, WDR, SFB, BR, DSR, ORF etc. und Unternehmen wie Deutsche Bank, FRAPORT, Nestlè, ALLIANZ etc. realisiert. Darüber hinaus ist Lothar Spree seit 1992 als Professor für Film und neue Medien an mehreren Hochschulen (Staatliche Hochschule für Gestaltung Karlsruhe, ZKM Karlsruhe, Hochschule für Gestaltung Offenbach am Main) in der Lehre und Forschung tätig. Als Direktor des EIKK - Europäisches Institut des Kinofilms Karlsruhe hat Lothar Spree bis 2003 Nachwuchs- und Fortbildungsprogramme im In- und Ausland durchgeführt. Durch seinen längeren Aufenthalt und die dortige Arbeit in China ergeben sich ebenfalls neue Aspekte für Beratung und Produktionen von Chinesisch / Asiatisch-Detuschen Projekte |
